My Inner Child is in Charge of My Diet

It turns out that there's a reason they tell you to make a list before going shopping. This is what I bought this evening when getting groceries for the week:

Easily Justified
-----------------
Lime Water
Almonds
Eggs
Bagels
Cheese
Cream Cheese
Apples
Potatoes
Raspberries
Blueberries

I Could Make a Story For It
---------------------------
Peanut Butter - it's for either the dog or me, whoever uses up her jar first
Frozen Pizza
Diet Coke - just one small bottle

What the Hell was I thinking
----------------------------
1.5 L Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix - There were children in the store
Double Chocolate Brownie Mix - I need my chocolate
Good & Plenty - How can you say no to this odd mixture of crunchy sugar and chewy licorice?
Hershey's Chocolate - I need my chocolate
German Chocolate Brownies (pre-made) - I really, really need my chocolate.

So then I came home and had two German chocolate brownies and a Diet Coke for dinner.

I feel ill.

Brownies (and bagels) for breakfast, anyone?

Now there's an idea!

You're giving away too much personal information. By saying you have a bunch of cats and like chocolate, you've really narrowed down a potential stalker's search.

Good point. Maybe I should leave out the part about being forty and single...

Two chocolate brownies and a DIET coke? Why not just go all the way?

I figure using Diet Coke instead of regular Coke will help stave off my inevitable diabetes for one additional day.

No, actually, I just like the taste of Diet Coke better. I know that's weird, but it's true.

You and Lucy don't share the same jar of peanut butter? I wonder if she is offended. Or, maybe she is relieved in case you're a double dipper.
Oh, and Richard says to check for earwigs after she takes a bite.

Lucy and I don't share the same jar of peanut butter only because I dip her cookies directly into her jar (since I am too lazy to clean two knives a day) so that her pills will stick to the cookie.

I prefer my peanut butter without extra dog cookie pieces embedded within...

No earwigs. Really. But that would be a good reason to maintain separate jars as well.

Yes, I've heard the Double Chocolate Brownie Mix and Bagels are good for that.

Maybe if I switch to whole wheat bagels?

From the number of comments, it looks like people respond to stories about drugs and chocolate.

I'll probably hit ten viewers if I add in rock 'n roll...
